The Information Technology Division (ITD) of The Open University of Sri Lanka was established in 1978. ITD is here for you to support your Department’s/Division’s/Center’s projects, events or any other technical needs.

The ITD provides services mainly under 3 sectors.
  1. Network Services
    The Network Service Division, under the Network Manager, provides services related to all networking activities between the Nawala main campus and regional and branch centres.

  2. OMIS services 
    The OMIS division, under the Information System Manager, manages the computer systems used by academic and non-academic staff and students.

  3. IT Workshop services.
    The IT workshop division, under the workshop manager, carries out maintenance work on IT related equipment available at the university.

We always collaborate with staff and students of the university and are determined to maintain IT strategies, policies, priorities, and resource allocations on time. By partnering with us, we provide direction in how to utilize and integrate the university’s information technology infrastructure, resources, and services in the best ways.
