Academic Administration
Academic Administration Division of the open University of Sri Lanka is entrusted with providing administrative support for the general academic administration of the university. In addition to that organizing annual general convocation is handled by this division.

Legal and Documentation Division
Main functions of the Division
* Handling legal matters of the University i.e. Court cases, Human Rights Commission cases, and various other tribunals.
* Coordinate matters with the Attorney General’s Department.
* Handling Formal Disciplinary Inquiries including prosecuting.
* Signing and coordinating matters related to Bonds & Agreements.
* Documentation work such as drafting and checking MOUs, Agreements, Contracts, Deeds etc.
* Handling matters related to the Right to information Act and functioning as the University Information Officer.
* Providing legal opinions and advices when requested.
Capital Works and Planning Division
Main functions of the Division
Procurement and administration activities of Major Capital Projects, Rehabilitation Works, computer network projects, Hiring of Labours and Handling Land related works
RES Office
Main functions of the Division
Facilitate the OUSL Regional & Study Centres.
Coordination between Centres and the main university.
Approving of all kind of exam vouchers except Final Examinations.
Approve/ Recommend any other vouchers submitted by RES Centres.
Following up of the P & D matters forwarded by RES Centres.
Attend day to day administration matters.
Convene the RES Board meeting, RES Staff Meeting & RES-CQA Meeting and its minutes preparation.
Preparation of RES Procurement, Contract Staff documents.
Attend any other matters related to RES.
Drafting letters when required.
University Press
Main functions of the Division
*Currently the printing press supplies course material for over 350000 students who are following various courses conducted by six faculties. We are also facilitate the printing of leaflets, annual reports, academic journals, posters, guide books, etc. In addition the University Press is entrusted with printing of various official documents required by the Administrative Divisions and External printing works (CERC).
