The students who have completed Zoology as a major subject at the first two years (Level 3 and 4) with good performance are competitively selected for the Hon’s degree programme in Zoology at the end of the second year (level 4).

The Department of Organizational Studies (DOS), under the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), will oversee a revamped Bachelor of Management Studies Honours degree program. Aimed at producing graduates who can address global challenges and contribute to national economic development, the program will equip students with a solid foundation in management science and the skills to apply their knowledge practically. Graduates will be adaptable, lifelong learners with strong teamwork, creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities, making them valuable assets in any business organization.

Bachelor of Science Honours in Engineering – Textile & Clothing BSc(Eng)

This program is a degree programme to provide in-depth knowledge and skill for the Textile and clothing industry employees at junior manager level and technical grades in the industry within the engineering profession. This will also provide an opportunity to upgrade management skills required to maintain an organization as senior managers.

Bachelor of Science Honours in Psychology

This programme is structured for individuals interested in understanding the discipline of Psychology and its many subfields using the open, distance and flexible platform facilitated by the OUSL.

The main objective of the programme is to provide students with comprehensive knowledge in the main theoretical domains of Psychology and practical skills applicable to the Sri Lankan context. The courses are designed to enable students to use a range of research skills and methods while adhering to ethical standards of the discipline while carrying out independent research projects. We also aim to facilitate the learners to develop critical analysis of practical, theoretical and ethical issues in Psychology, as they prepare for further learning or gaining practical experiences in the field under supervision.

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences Honours

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences Honours is a four-year degree programme which consists of 120 credits. The aim of the program is to provide an integrated education and training in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences to suit the healthcare and research needs of industrial and commercial sectors and to prepare the students for lifelong independent learning, career development and postgraduate studies.
