The Certificate in English for General Communication is designed for individuals who wish to develop a strong foundation in the English language and communicate effectively in both informal and formal contexts. The programme focuses on enhancing the four core language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—while introducing learners to everyday vocabulary, basic grammar, and functional expressions needed for social interaction, academic purposes, and introductory workplace communication.
Through interactive lessons, practical activities, and continuous assessment, learners build confidence in using English accurately and appropriately in spoken and written forms. The programme also introduces cultural and contextual aspects of language use, making it particularly suitable for individuals with limited prior exposure to English or those seeking to refresh and strengthen their basic language skills.
