The Advanced Certificate in English for Professional Communication is designed for individuals who seek to develop and refine their English language and communication skills in order to function confidently and effectively in a range of professional and academic contexts. The programme focuses on strengthening proficiency in all four language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—with particular emphasis on workplace-oriented communication.

Entry Requirements for Advanced Certificate in English for Professional Communication
Criteria 01
1. All applicants should be above 16 years of age
AND
Criteria 02
2.Category A – Direct Entry
2.1. Have completed Certificate in English fir General Communication offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka. or
2.2. Have Completed Stage I of the Advanced Certificate in English for Business and
Professional Communication offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka. or
2.3. Simple pass or above for General English subject a the GCE Advanced Level Examination.
Category B – Through a Selection Test
Candidates who do not fall under category A, are required to face a grading test which will place them according to their proficiency level .

o Date: 13 June 2026
o Time: 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
o Format: Paper-based examination held on-site.
