Rejuvenating the medicinal garden

Botsoc rejuvenated the medicinal garden of the university premises with a lot of new different medicinal plants. Students, staff members of the Botany and the Dean of the faculty of Natural Sciences participated in this event. Botsoc students will take care of the medicinal garden ensuring its well being.

Preserving the natural beauty of Sri Lankan leopard

Dr. Saminda Fernando, exhibiting his outstanding expertise in Taxidermy, was able to preserve a nice specimen of Sri Lankan leopard, with his team at the Department of Zoology. The dead specimen was obtained through the Department of Wildlife Conservation, Sri Lanka after an accidental death of the leopard due to illegal trapping.
