Welcome to the Quality Assurance Cell (FQAC) of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The FQAC of the Faculty of Natural Sciences works to coordinate and support quality assurance activities in the faculty, ensuring alignment with the University’s Center for Quality Assurance (CQA). It includes the Faculty Coordinator (who represents the Faculty at the University Senate Committee), representatives from each Department, a non-academic staff representative, and the Assistant Registrar.

Functions and responsibilities of FQAC
The Internal Quality Assurance (QA) Cells of the University are entrusted with the responsibility of promoting and sustaining a culture of quality within their respective units. The key functions and responsibilities of the QA Cells include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordination of all Quality Assurance related activities.
- Monitor progress of Quality Assurance activities initiated by the cell.
- Share good practices across QA cells.
- Obtain feedback from stakeholders on services / products and include where relevant findings that will improve performance.
- Conduct Quality Assurance-related awareness programmes among staff members.
- Develop relationships and liaise with national and international agencies and universities on quality assurance activities.
- Prepare an annual work plan and obtain approval from the BoM of the IQAU, before the commencement of a calendar year.
- Report regularly about QA activities at respective board meetings and at the IQAU meetings.
- Facilitate the implementation of Quality Assurance reviews / monitoring follow up action in the units.
*The Faculty Quality Assurance Cell (FQAC) of the Faculty of Natural Sciences shall adhere to the above responsibilities in relation to the Faculty and its Departments.
