I received my first-degree B. Sc. From University of Peradeniya in 1986. I completed P.G. Dip. in Computer Technology from Institute of Computer Technology, University of Colombo in 1992 and M.Sc. in Computer Science from Post Graduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya in 2008. I joined as a Temporary Demonstrator in Physics, Department of Physics, University of Peradeniya in the academic year 87/88. I started my carrier as a Graduate Teacher in 1989 and resigned from it to follow P.G. Dip. I joined The Open University of Sri Lanka, Kandy Regional Centre on 1st December 1992 as a Temporary Demonstrator. I got permanent as an Educational Assistant (Gr. 1) on 4th April 1994. I promoted to Senior Educational Assistant on 4th April 2006. After completion of M. Sc., I promoted to a Lecturer on 2nd June 2008. I got internal transfer to the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Natural Science on 28th January 2014.
