I am Sunil Weerakoon and I hold an honors degree in Bachelor of Education (1st Class) from University of Colombo in 2004. After completing my first degree I have being working as teacher for seven years at the leading National school. I obtained M.Ed in Educational Management at University of Colombo 2010. I have been a permanent academic member of the Department of Secondary and Tertiary Education of the Faculty of education, OUSL since 2012 to up to date . I lecture in various programe (PGDE, B.Ed (D&T, M.ED) in the Faculty of Education. I was coordinating CA component of PGDE progrmme from 2013-2018. I completed my M.Phil degree in 2016 at University of Colombo. And also I was coordinating PGDE ( Post Graduate Diploma in Education) programme ( Sinhala Medium) in the Department of Secondary & Tertiary Education.
In 2020 I Joind to the new department ( Department of Educational Leadership and Management ) established on 30.01.2020
I would like to provide students with a positive and enjoyable learning environment in which they can acquire skills and knowledge that will assist them in their future careers.
