I am Samanthi Nayanakumari Jayasinghe graduated BA (Social Sciences) Degree with the second-class upper division, MPhil in Educational Sociology from the Open University of Sri Lanka and Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) with the Distinction pass from the University of Colombo.

I have been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Secondary and Tertiary Education Faculty of Education at the Open University of Sri Lanka since 2002. I have submitted my PhD research study in the field of Child Rights. My research directions are Child Rights, Foundation of Education, and Primary Education.

I enjoy supporting in young generation, doing research, and generating new knowledge consists with both hard and soft skills.
