Dr. S. Neel Gunasekera received his B.Sc. Engineering honors degree from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 1992. joined the Open University of Sri Lanka in 1994-04-04 after serving as a chemical engineer in Singalanka Standard Chemicals PLC. He obtain Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering (OUSL,1999), a Certificate in CAD/CAM (University of Moratuwa,1998), and a Visharadh (Sitar) Degree from (Lucknow Bhathkande,1999). He has worked as a 3D CAD modeler in several engineering projects and particular for Caltex Blending Plant project in 2014. He has been working as a resource person for Engineering Drawing and CAD in several universities and conducting workshops in Technical aspects of North Indian Classical Music.

Research interests:

Dr. S.N. Gunasekera’s research interests are focused on the applications of Nonlinear acoustics and Intelligent Systems in the field of musical instruments. Additionally, he is interested in utilizing CAD modeling simulations to optimize the parameters of product design and development processes.
