Ms. M.A.D. Shashikala Priyakumari is a Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of Textile
and Apparel Technology at The Open University of Sri Lanka from 1 st December, 2024. She
earned her Bachelor of Technology Honours in Engineering from The Open University of Sri
Lanka in 2019, following the completion of her National Diploma in Technology at the University
of Moratuwa in 2017.
Throughout her professional journey, Shashikala has gained 8 years of valuable industry
experience , having held positions as Senior Executive – Fabric Technologist (2021–2024) and
Executive – Product Development Technologist (2017–2021) at MAS Linea Aqua (Pvt) Ltd. She
also honed her skills as an in-plant trainee at MAS Intimates Slimline Pvt Ltd and Teejay Lanka
PLC in 2016.
To further enrich her expertise, Shashikala has pursued a range of specialized courses,
including a Diploma in Project Planning & Management, an Advanced Certificate in Pattern
Making & Grading for Intimate Garments, and a Preliminary Certificate in Marketing.
