OUSL is proud to announce its achievement in linking the BSc degree programmes with the University of Essex in the UK. This signing of this agreement took place on the 22nd of February 2023 in the presence of Prof. P. M. C. Thilakarathne, the Vice-Chancellor of the OUSL, Ms. Vindya Jayasena, the Registrar, Mr. Orlando Edwards, Country Director – British Council and other invitees.
The Director of International Relations – Dr. Prasad Senadheera, welcomed the audience where he gave a brief introduction to the passage of partnership build-up between OUSL and University of Essex. This link agreement will be a great opportunity for OUSL undergraduates seeking new avenues of learning which are currently not available in state university systems. OUSL students will have a unique opportunity of getting a guaranteed placement at Essex, UK, without the need for sitting for any Standard English Tests and will be facilitated with a special educational loan scheme offered in partnership with a local bank.
