Ms. Ruwani Gunawardana, is currently attached to the Department of Secondary and Tertiary Education, Faculty of Education, at the Open University of Sri Lanka as a lecturer.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Education from the University of Colombo. Subsequently, she completed her postgraduate studies, obtaining a Master of Education (MEd) and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Education from the same university. In addition to her major discipline, she holds a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Kelaniya and a Postgraduate Diploma in Writership and Communication from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She has also completed the Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education course conducted by the Open University of Sri Lanka.

Ms. Ruwani Gunawardana began her professional career as a school teacher at Holy Family Convent, Colombo, and later joined the National Institute of Education. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in the field of education, both academically and professionally.
