Ms. H.A.V. Harankaha is a Lecturer (on Contract) attached to the Department of English Language Teaching at the Open University of Sri Lanka. She holds a BIT from the University of Moratuwa, a Diploma in English for Teachers of English from the University of Colombo, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Colombo, and an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Kelaniya. She is currently studying for her PhD at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Her research interests include the English language teaching, neologisms, social identity, and prosodic features.
