Ms. Bashini Sumali Ranchigoda Wijesekara is a Lecturer (Probationary) attached to the Department of Textile and Apparel Technology, Faculty of Engineering Technology, The Open University of Sri Lanka. She joined the permanent academic staff in April 2026 after serving as a Lecturer (On-Contract) and previously as a Temporary Demonstrator in the same department.
She obtained a Bachelor of Industrial Studies (Honours) in Textile and Apparel Technology with First Class Honours from The Open University of Sri Lanka, specializing in Apparel Production and Management. She also holds the BCS Level 6 Professional Graduate Diploma in Information Technology awarded by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
Prior to joining The Open University of Sri Lanka, she served as an ICT Teacher. She also worked as a Trainee Lecturer and Office Administrator at APSS International Networks (Pvt) Ltd. conducting lectures in Information Systems Management and System Analysis & Design while undertaking academic and administrative responsibilities.
