Ms. Maxworth is a graduate of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, with a second class upper degree (Hons.) in English. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Military Academy Gold Medal for the highest performance in English.
She completed her Master of Arts in TESL [Teaching English as a Second Language] at the Postgraduate Institute of English [PGIE], the Open University of Sri Lanka [OUSL].
Ms. Maxworth has contributed to many university-level and national-level initiatives and projects conducted by the University Grants Commission, the State Literary Awards, and other state and non-state higher educational institutes.
Her research interests lie primarily in the field of TESL, and she is passionate about her poetry and free verse.
