The Open University Marketing Association (OUMA), established in November 2024, is dedicated to nurturing the academic and professional aspirations of marketing students. Guided by a vision of innovation and collaboration, OUMA provides a platform where creative ideas meet practical application, ensuring that members are well-prepared to face the evolving challenges of the marketing profession.
At the heart of OUMA’s mission is the commitment to integrate academic learning with real-world exposure. The Association organizes a variety of initiatives, ranging from industry-oriented workshops and guest lectures to student-led projects and networking forums, that enable members to develop critical marketing skills and insights. These activities not only enhance classroom learning but also bridge the gap between theory and practice.
In doing so, OUMA cultivates a dynamic environment where students are encouraged to think strategically, work collaboratively, and pursue excellence. The Association continues to play a pivotal role in enriching student life, advancing professional development, and strengthening the reputation of the Department of Marketing Management, the Faculty of Management Studies, and the University.
