Agricultural and Technology Students’ Society (AGRITSS) of The Open University of Sri Lanka

 

Agricultural and Technology Students’ Society (AGRITSS) of The Open University of Sri Lanka was established in 2024.

The primary purpose of the society is to promote education and research in all
aspects of the theory and practice of crop science, soil, and water management, animal science,
food science, extension, economics, agricultural biology, and biotechnology with allied branches
of engineering technology and the related art and sciences, as well as the furtherance of the
professional development of members.

Further the objectives of the society were as follow,

  • Enhance Student Engagement and Leadership
  • Promote Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Awareness
  • Strengthen University–Industry–Community Linkages

  • Organize Social and Community Outreach Programs
  • Promote Inclusivity and Networking Among Students
  • Facilitate Career Guidance and Professional Pathways
