The increasing integration of technology into education has opened exciting opportunities to enhance
teaching, learning, and everyday educational tasks. Among these technologies, Generative AI (GenAI)
stands out as a practical, time-saving, and creative tool for educators and learners alike. However, despite
its growing presence, many people still lack the knowledge and confidence to use these tools effectively
and efficiently. This short course is designed to fill that gap, offering a practical, beginner-friendly
introduction to GenAI. It will equip the participants with the essential skills to enhance productivity,
improve lesson planning, simplify content creation, and personalize learning experiences using GenAI. By
focusing on hands-on use of tools like GenAI writing assistants, visual creators, and smart organizers, the
course ensures participants can immediately apply what they learn in real educational settings.
This short course will be offered as a self-financing activity by the Centre for Educational Technology and
Media (CETMe), OUSL.
