The Faculty of Natural Sciences, The Open University of Sri Lanka, successfully conducted a half-day workshop titled “Good Practices in Formulating Assessments in the Faculty of Natural Sciences” on 30th July 2026 at the Faculty Board Room, Faculty of Natural Sciences.
The workshop brought together 21 academic staff members and featured Prof. Gominda Ponnamperuma (QA Consultant, UGC-QAC) as the Resource Person. The session focused on promoting good practices in assessment design and strengthening validity of assessments through preparing blueprints. Participants gained valuable insights into developing effective, valid, and reliable assessments aligned with learning outcomes, while engaging in discussions on enhancing assessment practices within the Faculty.
