Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Receives Full IESL Recognition for the BSc (Hons) in Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Technology, is pleased to announce that the Bachelor of Science Honours in Engineering – Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering specialisations have been granted Full Recognition by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL).
This achievement confirms that the programme meets IESL’s recognition criteria for engineering education in Sri Lanka and that its graduates fulfill the academic requirements for progression toward Associate Membership and Chartered Engineer status within IESL. In the IESL quality assurance framework, recognition serves as the formal precursor to accreditation. As a Washington Accord signatory, IESL uses its accreditation system to establish the international substantial equivalence of accredited four-year engineering degrees.
