GREEN HYDROGEN STRATEGY

The next decade belongs to hydrogen, a key driver of the global clean energy transition. As nations push toward carbon neutrality, green hydrogen offers a vital solution for decarbonizing industries, transportation, and power generation. This lecture will explore green hydrogen’s role in shaping energy policies, technological advancements, and strategic implementation. Using 50+ national hydrogen strategies as case studies, it will analyze long-term energy planning, target-setting, and governance structures while addressing key barriers, challenges, and policy actions needed to accelerate hydrogen adoption worldwide.

Dr. Cristina Efremov holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences and is a dedicated academic, teaching at the Technical University of Moldova and Dong Nai Technology University in Vietnam. She also serves as Chairperson of two Technical Committees for Standardization in Construction under Moldova’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development. As an expert evaluator for NAQAER, she ensures high standards in professional training programs.
Her research spans energy efficiency, renewable energy, circular economy, and energy storage systems. She has authored over 45 scientific articles, 3 textbooks, and 28 national standards related to energy sustainability. She also holds an international patent registered in the UK.
