EMHSK Ekanayake, (Himali Ekanayake) graduated as a BSc Engineer in Production and manufacturng Engineering from the University of Peradeniya. Then specialised in the feild of Industrial Engineering by completing Master of Technology degree in Industrial Engineering from The Open University of Sri Lanka. She read the doctoral degree in Business Adminsitration from Twintech International University College of Technology , Malaysia. Prior to entering the academia she has been working in the industry for nine years holding positions in different  capacities such as Quality Executive, Mechanical Engineer, QS Team Leader, QS Manager etc  in Sri Lanka as well as in Dubai UAE.
