Urgent Flood Relief Assistance
The University has commenced an urgent relief initiative to support members of the University community (staff, students) and the general public affected by the recent adverse weather conditions. A Disaster Management Committee (DMC–OUSL) has been established to coordinate all emergency response activities.

Collection of Essential Items
The University is organizing the collection of dry rations and essential goods to provide immediate assistance. Donors are kindly requested to provide items in sealed packet form to facilitate transport and distribution.
Required Items:
- Rice (2 kg / 5 kg packs)
- Dhal
- Soya products
- Bottled water
- Milk powder
- Chickpeas or Cowpeas
- Cream crackers
- Baby diapers
- Sanitary napkins
- Basic non-prescription medicines and first-aid supplies (e.g., pain relief tablets, plasters, bandages, antiseptic solutions)
- Toothpaste
Submission of Donations
Donations may be handed over at the Colombo Regional Centre (CRC) during the following hours:
9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. – At the CRC premises
After 5.00 p.m. – With the CRC Security Staff
