This programme is designed to provide an opportunity to those engaged in the relevant industry to gain an in-depth knowledge in the subject of specialisation. Obtaining six passes at G.C.E.(O/L) examination including Mathematics and the first language is required for admission to the Study Programme.
Objectives of the program
- The employees, who are already in the apparel industry but without relevant basic theoretical and practical knowledge about the garment manufacturing process, will be able to gain a sound fundamental knowledge on raw material and production process.
- Potential candidates get opportunities to enter into the job market in the area of Textile and Apparel industry.
- The programme provides a path for candidates, who do not have the required entry qualification (GCE A/L three passes or equivalent qualifications) acceptable to the university, to enter the Diploma in / Bachelor of Industrial studies.
Teaching mode: Distance mode, limited lecture hours and laboratory work, comprehensive printed course materials for reading and self-studying
