Eng. N.P. Hashel Abeyagunawardana graduated from The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was the top-ranked graduate of the 2024 Mechanical Engineering batch and received the Dean’s List Award for high academic performance in the 2020/2021 academic year.
While pursuing his undergraduate studies, he worked in the plastics and refrigeration industry for three years. After graduation, he joined The Open University of Sri Lanka as a Demonstrator attached to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He subsequently served as a Lecturer on Contract at OUSL, contributing to teaching, curriculum development, and other academic activities in Strength of Materials and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
Presently, he is serving as a Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, His teaching and research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Mechanics of Materials. Furthermore, he is an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (AMIESL) and an Associate Engineer (AEng) registered under the Engineering Council Sri Lanka.
