The Learner Support Cell of the Faculty of Management Studies successfully organized a workshop titled “Research Supervisor’s Role, Ethics, and Intellectual Property Rights” on Friday, August 29th, from 10:00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at the HSS Faculty Board Room.
The session was conducted by Senior Professor Nalin Abeysekara from the Faculty of Management Studies and Professor Sanath Wijesinghe from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The workshop aimed to provide research supervisors across the Faculty of Management Studies and other faculties with essential insights into responsible research practices, ethical considerations, and the importance of protecting intellectual property rights in academia.
The event fostered a valuable platform for academic staff to deepen their understanding of supervisory responsibilities while engaging in meaningful dialogue on maintaining integrity and best practices in research supervision.
