Mr. B.M.N. Dewapriya is currently serving as a Lecturer (on contract) in the Department of Legal Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL). He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree with Second Class Upper Division from the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, and is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

In addition to his current role, Mr. Dewapriya has previously served as a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Organizational Studies, Faculty of Management Studies at OUSL. He is also actively involved in academic assessment, serving as a Marking Examiner for the LLB degree programme. His areas of expertise include Human Rights Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Commercial Law, Business Law, Contract Law and Equity and Trusts Law. Mr. Dewapriya is passionate about pursuing roles in legal academia, research and writing.
