Research

The Faculty continuously promotes research and development work in a wide scope of engineering and technology. In view of facilitating research the Faculty has formed a Faculty Research Committee which is responsible for coordinating with the university administration to ensurethat the research work undertaken by the staff and the postgraduate students progress without any hindrance.
The faculty encourages the undergraduate students to undertake research of high standard in their degree curricula. Undergraduate students who achieve excellence in research are recognized with presenting Gold Medals for the Best Engineering Undergraduate Research Project, Best Civil EngineeringFinal Year Project and the Best Research Paper based on the Final Year Project in engineering disciplines. Further the faculty facilitates the organization of an annual symposium, called as Faculty of Engineering Technology Student Academic Conference(FETSAC), under the leadership of students to present their research outcomes to a wider audience. From time to time the staff of the faculty forms research groups in emerging subject areas involving interested staff and students, that are funded by the university through Faculty Research Committee.
