Special Notes:

  • Examinations held in locations outside Sri Lanka are scheduled to take place concurrently with those held within the country.
  • The Sri Lanka High Commission in the UK has informed OUSL that examinations scheduled before 8:00 am (UK time) cannot be conducted due to internal constraints. Therefore, candidates who are willing to take the exams from the UK are requested to make alternative arrangements for exams scheduled before 8:00 am (UK time).
  • The Sri Lanka Embassy in Qatar has notified the University that, due to a regulation enacted by the State of Qatar, no official activities will take place in the Embassy on Fridays and Saturdays. Therefore, candidates who plan to take examinations in Qatar should make alternative arrangements for exams scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • If any foreign mission declines to cooperate with the examination process, the Open University of Sri Lanka will not be held responsible for arranging an alternative examination for those candidates. In such instances, the University will instead make arrangements to refund the money that has been paid.
  • If the University incurs any additional costs to conduct the examination overseas, the candidate is responsible for paying the extra amount. This is separate from the US $50 fee that the candidate has already paid to the University. The candidate must settle the additional amount with the University before the examination.
  • No reimbursement will be provided in the event of examination cancellation attributable to the candidate’s actions.
  • Committing an examination offence leads to the invalidation of the entire examination results.
