Field Visit to Construction site of the Star Class Hotel for Damro Leisure (Pvt) Ltd. in Colombo 03
The Civil Engineering Society of the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) recently organized an exciting field visit as it’s inaugural activity to the construction site of the Star Class Hotel for Damro Le03.e (Pvt) Ltd. in Colombo 03 . Construction is being carried out by Maga Engineering (Pvt) Ltd as the main contractor.
The visit provided an invaluable opportunity for students to explore the intricacies of high-rise building construction and witness cutting-edge techniques and technology in action. Participants gained hands-on insights into the challenges and innovative solutions involved in constructing a modern, luxury hotel in an urban setting.
Further, the field visit also allowed students to interact with experienced professionals in the industry, broadening their knowledge of structural systems, project management, and sustainable building practices.
The Civil Engineering Society of OUSL extends its heartfelt gratitude to. Dr. A.M.L.N. Gunathilaka for organizing the event by coordinating with Mr. Ananda Senarath, MD- Stems Consultants (pvt) Ltd.
