Welcome to Kurunegala Regional Centre
The Open University of Sri Lanka, Kurunegala Regional Center started as a study center as one of the earliest study Center in the Regional Education Services which commenced its operations in late 1990s. Kurunegala Study Center was upgraded as a regional center in 2014 to uplift the educational standards of the people in Kurunegala and surrounding areas.
The Regional Centre caters the demands of educational sector in Northwestern province through Open and Distance Learning methodologies. Currently, our center serves more than 3,500 students by conducting study programs including certificate level, diploma level, degree level and postgraduate level which relevant to the six faculties, i.e., Engineering Technology, Natural Sciences, Education, Humanities & Social Sciences, Health Sciences and Management Studies. As the strong educational service delivering institute, the Regional Centre of the Open University is in a positive position to contribute significantly to future development of the Northwestern region and the well-being of the general public.
