WELCOME
The Department of Educational Leadership and Management (DELM) is the newly established Departments of the Faculty of Education, OUSL. In the university system of Sri Lanka, it will be the first department inaugurated for the field of Educational Leadership and management which is an immemorial landmark in the history of education in Sri Lanka.
The main objective of the new department is to strengthen the structure of educational management in Sri Lanka, through the development of leadership and management skills of those educational leaders such as principals, Directors of Education, and educationalists at various levels in the field of Education. Many such programs have been planned by the new department, as, for example, the Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management (PGDELM), B.Ed (Honours) Degree in Educational Leadership and Management and Diploma in School Management programs based on the Open and Distance Learning Method of Education, with a variety of learning techniques. Including an online learning environment.
