Introduction
Ambalangoda is a coastal town located in Galle District, Southern Province of Sri Lanka. Governed by Ambalangoda Urban Council, the town is famous for its ancient demon masks and devil dancers. Some famous schools situated in Ambalangoda are Dharmasoka College, Sri Devananda College, Kularathne College and Prajapathie Gothamie Balika Vidyalaya. Ambalangoda centre was started at old Prajapathie Gothami Balika Primary school near the Galle Road in 1985. In 2007 we shifted to our own building at Halwatura Ambalangoda, 500m away from the Galle Road. There are 2 Computer Labs with internet facility, 3 class rooms and exam hall for 65 students. Other than Postgraduate Diploma, Degree and Foundation Programmes, short courses are conducting at Ambalangoda centre.
