Introduction
The Vavuniya Study Centre which is one of the nationwide centers of the Open University of Sri Lanka is situated in Vavuniya town, 2.8 km away from the Vavuniya New bus stand and 2 km from Vavuniya Railway Station. The Vavuniya Study Centre which is one of the delivery part of the Open University of Sri Lanka. Since it is on the A9 Road near to Vavuniya Bus Stand, the students could be easily access to the centre. It has been giving the higher educational opportunities to the people of the Vavuniya District from 1994. As one of the higher educational institution, it provides many opportunities to the students in these areas with a wide range of courses are conducted.
Lectures in all disciplines are conducted by well qualified staff members at this centre as such all the lectures could have to fulfill the students needs. As the centre is equipped with a beautiful auditorium, a sophisticated computer lab and four study halls that ensure the provision of quality services to its students.

Warm welcome and thank you for your interest in distance education of the Open University, Vavuniya Study Center. Our Primary goal is to support the people in Vanni Area of Northern Province by providing chances for lifelong learning through open and distance learning approaches. We offer higher education possibilities to the students in the Vavuniya District, with sufficient infrastructural facilities. The Study Centre provides excellent educational possibilities to the people as young as eighteen, with no age restrictions. We currently offer courses ranging from advanced certificate to postgraduate level. So, get the most out of that by joining the Vavuniya Study Center.
