The OUSL further strengthened its partnership with the University of Essex, UK by expanding the existing Progression Link Agreement to the field of Management Studies. With this attainment, OUSL students who follow the Bachelor of Management Studies Honours, and Bachelor of Management Studies Honours Degrees in Accounting and Finance, Human Resource Management, or Marketing Management, will be considered for admission to 17 MSc programmes at Essex Business School (EBS). Students who successfully complete their 2-year Diploma (Higher Diploma) in Management Studies, Accounting and Finance, Human Resource Management and Marketing Management will have the opportunity to enter the 2nd year of the 3-year BSc degree programs at EBS.

The progression link agreement offers OUSL students hoping to enrol for the MSc degrees courses at Essex, UK, to do so without the need for standardized English tests. In addition, the OUSL students receiving such placements will be granted a 20% deduction in the tuition fee during their first year, under the global partnership scholarship offered by University of Essex (https://www.essex.ac.uk/scholarships/essex-global-partner-scholarship-undergraduate).

 

The agreement for this expansion of the link agreement was signed on 23rd October 2023, at the university premises in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor and members of the senior management of OUSL. Dr. Annecy Lax, Dean of Partnerships (Education), Ms. Vanessa Potter, Global Vice President, Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Director- Indian Subcontinent Region, and Ms. Thanuja Raveendren, Recruitment and Partnership Advisor for Sri Lanka and Mauritius of the University of Essex graced this occasion, while Prof. Anthony Forster, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Essex addressed the gathering virtually.
