Ms. Dodan Godage Kanchana completed her B.A. (Hons) (Special) Degree in Political Science in 2009 and a Master Degree in Political Science at the University of Peradeniya in 2012. Further, she has conducted a Master Degree in Public Policy and Governance at the North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2015. She has work experiences which were gained through her studies and by playing a different role as a researcher, university teacher, and administrator in the public and private sector institutions. She has conducted various research studies related to Public Policy and Administration, Good Governance, Performance Management, Political Culture, Local governance, etc. As a Temporary Senior Lecturer in Social Studies, at the undergraduate level, she is currently involved in teaching courses such as Public Policy and Administration, State, Society and Citizens: Normative Dimensions of Political Life, Introduction to International Politics and Politics of South Asia. In addition, her immense contribution as a teacher and an academic coordinator can be seen to the programmes such as Advance Certificate in Social Sciences and Higher Diploma in Youth Development Work. Previously, she used to teach for the undergraduate level programme at the Department of Political Science, University of Peradeniya.
