Introduction
Galle is a major city in Sri Lanka, situated on the southwestern tip, 119 km from Colombo. Galle is the administrative capital of Southern Province, Sri Lanka and is the district capital of Galle District. The Galle study Centre of the Open University of Sri Lanka is located in Labuduwa, and in close proximity to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital which is the about 5km away from the City of Galle
The Present Centre was ceremonially opened in the year 2000 at Labuduwa in order to provide the higher education requirements of people of Galle and suburban areas. As a study Centre this centre is offering various types of academic programmes. Specially Education, Management, Language, and Information Technology (IT), which are high in demand Our Study Centre has modern facilities such as Computer Laboratories with Video Conferencing , an Examination Hall and an Air Condition Auditorium. The staff members of the Centre are committed to identify and fulfill the educational requirements of the students.
