My hometown is Kandy. Studied at Matale BMS and Girls’ High School Kandy. All my degrees have been obtained by University of Peradeniya. I started my career as a honors graduate Teacher. After serving 12 years I joined Sri Lanka Instate of Advanced Technological Education. I served there as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and finally I worked as the director of the Advanced Technological Instate at Dehiwala. In 2011 I joined OUSL.
