Anuradhapura Regional Centre

Introduction

The Open University Anuradhapura Regional Centre is located in Anuradhapura sacred city which is also considered as the first capital of Sri Lanka. The centre was established in 1988 and shifted to the new building in 2008. The main purpose of Anuradhapura Regional centre is to facilitate the educational needs of the community in North Central Province through Open and Distance Learning methodologies by ensuring lifelong learning opportunities. Currently, our centre servers more than 2,500 students by conducting many educational programmes including certificate level, diploma level, degree level and postgraduate level  in various disciplines such as arts, science, education, engineering, management and language studies at a affordable cost with a with high quality and relevant education.

Anuradhapura Regional centre is well equipped with modern lecture halls, an auditorium, computer laboratories, examination halls, science laboratories and a library facility. Also free wifi facility is available for all the students who are registered for the degree programmes.
