I graduated from the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka with a B.Sc. Special Degree in Physics, with a First Class (Honours). I have successfully completed my Ph.D. in the field of Lightning Physics at the Department of Physics, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. My research interests are mainly oriented towards the Lightning Physics, GIS, Remote Sensing, and Disaster management.
