Dr. T. Lakshini Dilesha Fernando

B.Sc (Sri Jayewardenepura), Ph. D. in Chemistry – University of Auckland

Senior Lecturer (G II)

Department of Chemistry

I have successfully completed my Ph.D. from University of Auckland – New Zealand in 2021 on self-cleaning coatings for painted steel roofing. It is an industrial Ph.D research that conducted with the collaboration of Fletcher steel limited- New Zealand, University of Auckland and Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment- New Zealand. I earned my B. Sc. special degree in chemistry from University of Sri Jayewardenepura – Sri Lanka in 2013 with multiple awards for the best performance in the batch.

I joined the chemistry department of the open university of Sri Lanka as a Senior lecturer in April 2022. I have strong industrial track records with the experience as manager – product and business development – Brandix Apparel Solutions Limited (2020 – 2022), research fellow – University of Auckland/Fletcher steel limited – New Zealand (2017-2020), assistant Manager – research and development – Brandix Apparel Solutions Limited (2016-2017), executive – research and development – Brandix Apparel Solutions Limited (2014-2016) and graduate trainee – research and development – Brandix Apparel Solutions Limited (2012-2013).
