I teach courses on literature, cultural studies and research methodology and am involved in the teaching, writing course material and evaluation for the BA in English and English Language Teaching and the Diploma in English and English Literature. I am a visiting lecturer at the Postgraduate Institute of English (PGIE), teaching primarily on the MA in Teaching Literature in a Second Language Context (TLSC). As a researcher, I attempt to apply the methodological tools of Literary Studies to questions that have more traditionally found a home in political science, history, or sociology. I value interaction and dialogue in learning and emphasize the pedagogical importance of critical questions as a means of understanding the ways in which we encounter the world(s) around us.
