I am currently residing in the Kandy area. I first obtained my Diploma in National Teaching in Teaching in 1985 from the Mahaweli National College of Education and entered the teaching profession. He started his higher education in 1990 after obtaining his first degree. He also won the Gold Medal for Outstanding Student in 1995 and the Diploma in Postgraduate Education and the Master of Education in 2001. In 2007 I joined the Faculty of Secondary and Tertiary Studies of the Faculty of Education of the Open University of Sri Lanka as an Apprentice Lecturer. I received my PhD in Education in 2013. He was promoted to the rank of Professor with effect from 07.01.2021 as a Senior Lecturer. Since 2015, I have been serving as the Head of the Division of Secondary and Tertiary Education. My subject matter expertise is Educational Sociology, Education management and Teacher Education.
