I am Jalal Deen Careemdeen, Senior Lecturer at the Education of the Open University of Sri Lanka. I was born on 27.01.1983 in Silmiyapura.
I have completed my primary and secondary Education at B/ Almurshid Muslim Maha Vidyalaya, Silmiyapura. Later, I have obtained a Bachelor of Education (2008) and Master of Education degree (2015) at the University of Colombo. I have received a World Bank Scholarship through MOHE Sri Lanka to pursue a PhD (2018). I have completed PhD in Sociology of Education (2022) at the National University of Malaysia.
I was selected as a Lecturer (Probationary) (2011) at the Open University of Sri Lanka from the very beginning of my teaching career. During this time, I have obtained a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Colombo. I was promoted to Senior Lecturer Grade in 2016.
